I saw that Elton John and David Furnish had a baby on Christmas Day. They named him Zachary (in honor of me?) Jackson Levon Furnish-John.

The name Levon comes from the song by the same name that Elton did back in the 70’s, I think. The lyrics state that Levon was “born a pauper to a pawn on a Christmas Day”. So, now you know the irony.

By the way, I wrote to Elton in the mid 90’s, telling him thanks for being a positive role model and he actually wrote me back. I still have the letter. In reference to something I asked him, he states that the only thing he regrets is hurting people with his substance abuse. This letter would be worth quite a bit of money, I would suppose!
